Local Doctors Stoddard Road is a friendly medical clinic in Central Auckland dedicated to providing high-quality, low-cost healthcare for you and your whānau. Our skilled GPs and nurses offer a comprehensive range of general practice services, addressing both physical and mental health needs, and are ACC accredited to support recovery from injuries. We specialize in managing long-term health issues such as depression, asthma, and diabetes, while helping you stay up-to-date with screenings and immunisations. Our appointment-based clinic is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and offers on-site dental, pharmacy, and physiotherapy services for your convenience. About the fixed-term position
Our Registered Nurse plays a vital part in the day-to-day operation of our clinics; reporting to the clinic's Charge Nurse and working with your Cluster Manager, Clinical Lead & Admin team, you will be responsible for ensuring proper triage and patient care.
You can have the opportunity to work in General Practitice (GP) and Urgent Care (UC) environment.
We have a 6-month fixed-term role available, offering 1 FTE with rotating shifts across the clinic's operational hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Triage
- Assessment, planning, implementation & evaluation of patient requirements
- Training of new nurse
- Recording patient details, registration & updating patient notes
- Evaluation & Development of junior nurses
You will need to have:
- A current NZNC APC
- General Practice and Urgent Care experience (Preferable)
- Preferred experience with Medtech Evolution, Medtech 32 or similar. (desirable)
- Excellent English written and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Someone committed to health equity and cultural competency and can demonstrate an understanding of Tikanga Māori, Kawa Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
