About the position

The medical receptionist plays a vital part in the day-to-day operation of our clinics, reporting to the clinic manager, you will be the first point of contact for all our patients walking through our clinic's door.

Our Local Doctors Sandringham clinic is open from Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 5.30 pm. We are looking for a full time rceptionist support.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Making all visitors feel welcomed
  • Answering telephone calls and scheduling appointments
  • Account enquires
  • Recording patient details, registration & updating patient notes
  • Invoicing & Eftpos transactions

 

You will need to have:

  • Medical Reception experience is preferred but non-essential
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Enjoy and thrive in a fast-paced & high-pressure environment
  • Full driver's license and own transport desirable
  • Someone who is committed to the principles of health equity and cultural competency and who is able to demonstrate an understanding of Māori tikanga and kawa and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
