Your Role:

We have a 12-month maternity leave position available at City Doctors White Cross in Palmerston North, offering 0.8 FTE. Our clinic operates from 8 am to 8 pm, Monday to Sunday, so nurses need to support the clinic during these hours, with a minimum expectation of 32 hours per week.​

  • Perform accurate nursing assessments and provide evidence-based interventions.
  • Deliver ongoing, culturally safe care that meets patient and family needs.
  • Maintain precise documentation and promote patient education.
  • Participate in team discussions, professional development, and quality improvement initiatives.

 Requirements:

  • Advanced experience in Acute Nursing.
  • Current registration as a New Zealand Registered Nurse.
  • Previous urgent care facility experiences are advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Awareness of ACC and PHC.
  • Familiarity with MedTech 32 or MedTech Evolution (or similar) preferred.
  • Commitment to health equity and cultural competency, with an understanding of Tikanga Māori, Kawa Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Legal rights to work in New Zealand.
